Three fire companies were on the scene for a structure fire in Marion Center Wednesday night.
Indiana County 911 reports that Marion Center and Clymer fire departments along with the RIT team and Citizen’s Ambulance were initially called out at 9:30 last night for the fire at a two-story house that had two apartments on Main Street. Plumville fire department would be called to assist 12 minutes later, and Creekside and Rural Valley fire departments were called in for standby duty.
Marion Center’s fire department reports that a woman was trapped inside the front apartment, but was rescued by firefighters and was not injured. No one was found in the second apartment.

Fire crews were able to knock down the fire in the rear apartment and limit the spread to the front department. While the rear apartment sustained fire and water damage, the front apartment had little damage.
No firefighters were injured. The cause of the fire is not known at this time, but state police fire marshals have been called in to investigate.
