The Executive Director of the Indiana County Development Corporation and the Office of Planning & Development told the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors last week that talks have already been held with the Pennsylvania Realtors Association about both temporary and permanent housing needs for workers on the Homer City Redevelopment project.
Byron Stauffer, Jr. said there will be “inventory challenges” in the housing market and he would like developers and realtors to discuss “what potential solutions (they) can identify together.”
Stauffer also told the board that his team has begun transportation planning, reaching out to PennDOT and Indiana Borough to “take a hard look at some of the county’s heavily-travelled corridors” to try to find ways to improve pedestrian safety.
