White Township has gotten to work tackling some road projects to kick off the spring. Last week, road crew members were clearing guardrails on St. Clair Road. Tomorrow and on Tuesday, they will be sealing cracks on Martin Road and repairing a cross pipe on Harrison Drive. The schedule this week also calls for crack sealing on Whippoorwill Street and Robin Street on Wednesday and Thursday, and on Harrison Drive on Friday.
The new street sweeper is already being put to good use, working last week in the southern end of the township. The innovative design of the “regenerative air sweeper” enables it to work in tighter spaces, so it can operate on previously hard-to-get-to congested streets and narrow cul-de-sacs.
