The off-season rebuilding of the Pitt basketball roster continued over the weekend with coach Jeff Capel landing 6-6 guard Barry Dunning Jr., a transfer from South Alabama. He has also played for Alabama-Birmingham and Arkansas.
Last season, Dunning averaged 15.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game and was a Sun Belt Conference first-teamer. He’s Capel’s third recruit after Pitt lost six players to the transfer portal and three who used up their eligibility.
