Indiana County first responders were called out for three incidents on Friday.
The first was reported just after 10 AM as a car crashed in a construction zone on Route 422 near Parkwood Road. Indiana Fire Association members and Citizens’ Ambulance were called to the scene. Fire officials said a car in the westbound lane hit a construction barrier. Two people were taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Crews were on the scene for about a half hour, and the barrier has been replaced. The car had to be towed.
A second vehicle accident was reported at 8:03 PM on Route 22 in Blairsville Borough. Black Lick and Blairsville firefighters were joined by Citizens’ and State Police.
A fire was also reported in the 8:00 hour last night. The call first went out at 8:51 for a property on Fabin Road. Aultman, Homer City, Indiana, Coral-Graceton and Coal run fire departments were initially dispatched, with Tunnelton and Iselin fire departments sent out three minutes later.
Details on the fire and the second accident have not been released.
