Pennsylvania officials are looking for women from the state who served in the armed forces to take part in an upcoming celebration of their service.
The ceremony is planned for June 10th, with an online virtual display to go live the day before. The event will recognize women veterans from World War II to the present day. Women from all branches of the military are invited to take part. The ceremony will be held at the PA Capitol.
New participants can share their service stories by filling out the required submission form. Veterans who were featured in last year’s display may simply update their previously-submitted information to be included this year.
This year will mark the third year for the Women Veterans day program, and is being organized by Senator Tracy Pennychuck, who serves Montgomery and Berks Counties.
