SOFTBALL
Trailing 2-1, West Shamokin pushed across two runs in the bottom of the tenth inning to hand Marion Center its first loss, 3-2. Leah Mondi and Evie Grantz each had two hits for the Wolves and in the circle, Mondi gave up just one hit and two walks, striking out nine. Both teams ahve just one loss in the Heritage Conference.
Penns Manor is 5-1 after a 15-1 win over United. Macey Pegg and Josslyn Bennett both had three hits, Alli Rhea homered and had two hits and Kadence Olbert had two hits. Pegg struck out eleven for the win.
Portage knocked off Conemaugh Township, 6-1.
Homer-Center played Bishop Carroll out of conference and beat the Huskies, 12-2. Jo Howard and Melanie George each had two hits for the Wildcats.
BASEBALL
West Shamokin had only three hits but took advantage of five walks and five Marion Center errors in a 9-5 win over the Stingers. Cam Rising had three hits for MC and Jaxon Davis had two. JJ Cessna drove in two runs for the Wolves.
