SOFTBALL
Homer-Center won a thriller over River Valley, walking off the Panthers 11-10 with a two-run rally in the bottom of the seventh. Avan King singled in the tying and game-winning runs on a hitter’s day. The Wildcats had 15 hits and the Panthers 11. River Valley scored five in the top of the seventh to take a 10-8 lead, Bekah Marshall led the way for Homer-Center, going 5-for-5, and Jo Howard, Gigi Palmer, and Melanie George each had two hits. River Valley’s Lilian Buckles had three hits and Maddie Twinchek and Scarlett Fridley each had two.
United lost a non-conference game to Ferndale, 19-3.
BASEBALL
River Valley walked off Greater Johnstown, 8-7. Caden Vresilovec had two hits, including a solo homer. Gavin Burkhart and Zeke Doak also had two hits for the Panthers.
