Last night, the Marion Center School Board approved seeking bids for two projects.
One project will be for a wall and sidewalk on the district’s main campus. Superintendent Clint Weimer said that the wall is starting to fail.
Bids will be sought by HHSDR.
The other project is for fencing at the Rayne Elementary Campus, which will be partially funded by a PCCD School Safety Grant. That will fall under the auspices of Young and Associates.
The board also approved changes to the Marion Center Area Educators Association Retirement Memorandum of Understanding. Weimer said the major change was based on qualifications. The original MOU had a requirement of eight teachers, and with the revision, it went down one to seven.
The board also approved the ICTC preliminary budget.
