The average price of a gallon of gas is going up as the weather gets more pleasant.
Triple-A reports that the statewide gas price average went up 17 cents to $3.63 a gallon. Several factors were linked to the increase in price, including refinery maintenance and the switch over to summer gas blends. Pennsylvania’s average cost is still higher than the national average, which stands at $3.25.
Indiana County’s average is $3.63 this morning, which is the highest in the region. Cambria county’s average is the lowest at $3.53. Outside of Indiana, the highest is Westmoreland county at $3.61. Warren County’s average is the most expensive in the state at $3.68. Wyoming is the lowest at $3.14.
Gas prices in Indiana County range from $3.34 a gallon at Accent Fuels in Homer City to $3.69 at many of the stations in Indiana, Homer City and Blairsville.
