Indiana County’s first responders were called out to the 40th brush fire of the year yesterday.
The fire was reported on Wissinger Road in Buffington Township at 7:36 last night. Indiana County 911 sent the Brush Valley and Vintondale fire departments to the scene. Details on the fire have not been released.
First responders also dealt with two calls for utility lines down yesterday afternoon. One was on Clarksburg Road in Conemaugh Township at 2:29 PM. That brought the Tunnelton and Saltsburg fire departments out. The other was at 4:42 PM along Route 286 in Black Lick Township. Black Lick, Blairsville and Aultman fire companies were dispatched at the time.
