The River Valley School Board last night approved a new marketing program that will help teach students about the broadcast industry.
The Creative Productions: Sports Media & Marketing Class will be taught by two teachers experienced in the field, according to Board President Rick Harper. He said students have shown a big interest in the field.
The class will start next school year.
The board also approved a memorandum of understanding with Commonwealth Charter Academy to send their students to the STEAM academy, with yearly tuition set at $5,200 for general education and $6,000 for special education students depending on the student’s disability and needs.
