The Indiana girls’ basketball battled and accomplished a significant feat Friday night, but not the most important one in the WPIAL 5A playoffs.
No. 7 Indiana lost to No. 3 Penn Trafford, 42-26, in a consolation game, but Indiana put up a valiant defensive effort to become the first team to hold Penn Trafford to less than 50 points this season.
The Indians struggled offensively. Julia Antonacci led Indiana (18-7) with nine points.
Indiana will host Bethel Park in the WPIAL 7th place game on Tuesday night at 7pm.
