CROSS COUNTRY
IUP cross country’s Dan Gibney has been named to the PSAC Fall Top Ten team. The senior previously won the 2-24 Men’s Cross Country Champion Scholar Award for his perfect 4.0 grade point average, and was All-PSAC First Team last season after being named to the second team in both 2022 and ’23. He was also All-Region in ’24 and won three academic awards. Gibney was second in the 8k at the PSAC Championship and was 13th in the 10k at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals
SOFTBALL
IUP softball has been picked second in the PSAC West preseason coaches poll. The Crimson Hawks return All-PSAC West First Team picks Delaney Patella and Madison Pikula, who were both also Second Teamers by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Also back for coach Shawna Bellaud are All-PSAC Second Teamers Jordan Sylvia, Paige Truax, and Kendall Young.
Gannon has the top spot in the West in the preseason poll. Cal is third, followed by Slippery Rock, Seton Hill, Edinboro, Clarion, and UPJ.
In the East, East Stroudsburg is the top choice, followed by West Chester, Kutztown, Shippensburg, Bloomsburg, Shepherd, Lock Haven, Millersville, and Mansfield.
