State police from the Punxsutawney Barracks have released information on a crash that happened last Saturday in North Mahoning Township.
Troopers were called out at 10:51 AM to Route 210 near Dutch Creek Drive. The driver, who was not named, failed to negotiate a curve in the road at 40 miles an hour and slid on the snow-covered road before going down an embankment. The car slid 200 feet through a field before coming to a stop against the embankment.
The car had to be pulled out by the tow company, but police said that the car had no traction surface on their tires and they did not have proof of insurance with them. The driver was not hurt and was wearing a seat belt at the time. Along with those citations, the driver was given a warning for driving too fast for the road conditions.
