John “Jack” Gerber, 84, of Indiana, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024 while at St. Andrews Village.
The son of Thomas and Helen (Rolls) Gerber, he was born December 18, 1939 in Creekside PA.
Jack was a veteran of the US Army. He was retired from the Homer City Power Plant and also S&T Bank. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, casino trips, crafts, gardening, hunting and fishing, and enjoyed the outdoors, as well as time spent with his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving are his two children, Mark Gerber and his significant other Paula McGinnis, Penn Run, and Renee (Matthew) Zuchelli, Clarksburg; grandchildren, Justin (Kerilee) Gerber, York PA, Alison (Derek) Stiles, York PA, Zachary Zuchelli, Clarksburg, Jenna Blystone and husband Brandon, Spring Church; a great grandchild, Natalee Gerber, York; brothers, Donald (Marge) Gerber, Indiana, and Ronald (Janet) Gerber, Clymer.
Preceding Jack in death were his parents, his wife Pauline, and a brother Gary.
Friends will be received on Monday, November 25 from 4-6 PM at the John A Lefdahl Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Pastor Kirt Anderson, officiating.
Entombment in the Oakland Cemetery will be private.
