The State Senate yesterday approved legislation that would extend Pennsylvania’s Lemon Law protections to include motorcycles.
Senate Bill 155 would factor motorcycles into the current law, which only protects customers who purchase or lease a car in the commonwealth and notice a defect with their automobile. Manufacturers are given three years to fix a defect, but if they don’t, customers could receive a replacement car or a refund.
Senator Michelle Brooks introduced the legislation and said extending the Lemon Law coverage is “a matter of fairness and ensuring that all motorists are safeguarded in their investment.”
Senator Joe Pittman voted in favor of the Bill, which now heads to Governor Shapiro’s desk.
