Authorities apprehended a wanted man from New Florence in White Township yesterday.
State police said a warrant for 20-year-old Evan James Stewart was issued on Wednesday after an investigation into an incident at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Stewart was heard shouting at a doctor and others at IRMC, and that included threats to shoot them. The hospital implemented additional security measures in response to the threat.
Stewart was taken into custody at an undisclosed location by Troop A Patrol Units and the State Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit. He is charged with making terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and harassment, and was placed in Indiana County Jail in lieu of 10% of a $15,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for November 19th.
