At a meeting Thursday night, the Homer-Center School Board approved a resolution that rejects River Valley’s departure from the ICTC Compact.
Board member Vicki Smith said that the main reason for the rejecting River Valley’s request is because she feels that the districts need to work together for the betterment of the students, and the success of the ICTC programs and students speaks for itself.
Indiana, United, Penns Manor and Purchase Line have already rejected the request. Much like the other sending schools, Homer-Center will utilize Ira Weiss as special counsel in this issue.
The board also approved the annual evaluation of Superintendent Ralph Cecere. His score was a 4.55 out of a possible 5.
