A Johnstown man accused of inappropriately touching a child will be in court today for the first day of his trial.
44-year-old Douglas Hitchens was charged by Indiana Borough Police with corruption of minors, indecent assault of someone under 13 years of age and indecent assault for an investigation into incidents in August of 2019 that started one month later after Children and Youth Services notified police of the incident. Hutchins came into contact with someone under 13 years of age at an apartment in the 700 block of Philadelphia Street and officers reported the incident as inappropriate touching.
He had initially entered guilty pleas, but on September 26th of last year, the pleas were withdrawn.
