A woman charged in connection with her husband’s overdose death will spend time in state prison.
37-year-old Lauren Bingaman, formerly of Colver and Clymer, was ordered to serve 2-5 years in prison for a single charge of possession with intent to deliver, and one to five years for each of four counts of child endangerment. She pleaded guilty to those charges on July 1st while charges of drug delivery resulting in death and four counts of reckless endangerment were not prosecuted as part of the plea deal.
Police charged her in the death of 34-year-old Daniel Bingaman in July of 2023, who died due to an overdose of a combination of xylazine and fentanyl. Police said that the drug paraphernalia in her house was within reach of four children living there.
