Clair Richard Quick, Sr., 86, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, in Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.
The son of Clair B. and Geraldine M. (Fink) Quick, he was born December 26, 1937, in Robinson, PA.
Richard was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War. He worked for Local Labor Union #1451, Latrobe, in construction until his retirement.
Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and golfing.
Surviving is his wife of 23 years, Flo Elaine (Jones) Quick whom he married on May 18, 2001; three children, Rick Quick (Sonya) of New Florence, Denise Dunmire (Mike) of Blairsville, and Richard Quick (Chrissy Long) of Colver; two stepchildren, Kimberly Main (Don Howard) of Blairsville and Kenneth Main (Katie Bilik) of Homer City; 16 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three siblings, James Quick (Pat) of Saltsburg, Patricia Merrit (John) of Buffalo, KS, and Dorothy Auen (Ed) of Tunnelton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Clair Richard Quick, Jr., two brothers, Paul and Ron Quick, and a sister, Mary Crusan.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 22nd from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 AM with Pastor J.P. Price officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, West Wheatfield Twp, Indiana County.
Military services will be conducted by the Blairsville Military Honor Guard.
