S&T Bank has announced that they have donated more than $100,000 towards Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
The foundation was started after Connecticut native Alex Scott was diagnosed with childhood cancer shortly before her first birthday and was receiving treatment, and after she was diagnosed again at four years old, she set up a lemonade stand to raise money donate towards cancer research. S&T Bank employees at the Indiana branch and all related branches collected donations between June 1 and 8 to donate towards Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
S&T President Dave Antolik said helping efforts like Alex’s Lemonade Stand is something the entire company proudly encourages.
ALSF Co-Executive Director Liz Scott praised S&T’s efforts in a news release, saying they “went above and beyond to raise money for kids fighting cancer.” She added they were grateful for their dedicated employees, customers and those who live in the local community for their commitment to help fund a cure for childhood cancer.
