At their meeting Wednesday afternoon, the White Township Supervisors passed the widely-discussed Solar Ordinance.
Township Manager Chris Anderson said the ordinance has been a major talking point across the commonwealth, and it gives townships regulations for setbacks, land cupper, glare, how many solar panels can be on properties, etc. It also gives supervisors guidelines for decommissioning them once they serve their lifespan.
Anderson said White Township’s adoption could lead to more municipalities adopting it.
In other business, Supervisors approved a stormwater management agreement for the VA Outpatient Clinic. Anderson detailed what that agreement means moving forward.
They also approved sewer planning agreements for Raising Cane’s and NAPA. They are still awaiting stormwater touch ups with their final plans. Once approved, both will be able to move forward in construction.
