Indiana County first responders were busy on Friday with several incidents reported, including two vehicle crashes.
The first was at 9:55 p.m. when Black Lick and Blairsville firefighters, state police and Citizens’ Ambulance were called to Old William Penn Highway in Burrell Township. The next was at 10:45 along Rager Road in neighboring Clearfield County. Cherry Tree Fire Department was dispatched for that call. Details on those crashes are not available.
Armagh/East Wheatfield firefighters were dispatched to two incidents on Friday and one this morning. Their first call was for an automatic fire alarm around 8:17 yesterday morning along Route 56 East in East Wheatfield Township. Their next call came at 11:14 as they joined Clyde Fire Department to tend to downed utility lines in West Wheatfield Township around 11:14. Then, they were brought back out to Route 56 East in East Wheatfield Township for another fire alarm at 4:21 this morning.
Indiana firefighters handled two incidents yesterday. One was an automatic fire alarm at 11:11 a.m. along Philadelphia Street in Indiana Borough. The other was a physical rescue call along Medlar Drive in White Township at 7:26 p.m.
