Before the game, the Pirates announced the three newest members of the Pirates Hall of Fame. Catcher Manny Sanguillen, manager Jim Leyland, and outfielder Barry Bonds will be inducted August 24th before a game against the Reds.

Altoona took an 11-1 beating from Erie last night. The Curve will play the Sea Wolves at 11:05 this morning in Erie, with Sean Sullivan starting for Altoona.
