At a meeting on Wednesday, the Penns Manor School Board approved advertising the 2024-25 budget.
The budget comes to $19,872,824 in expenditures and $19,536,504 in revenues. To balance the budget, the district will use $336,320 in the district’s fund balance and this will keep property taxes at 15.3786 mils. After the meeting, Superintendent Daren Johnston was asked if work will continue to reduce the deficit.
The board also approved rehiring district Athletic Director Amber Lockhart to a one-year contract at a base salary of $7000 and a contract with Ignite Education Solutions for a drop out prevention program at a cost not to exceed $74,094.87.
