A Homer City man who pleaded guilty to the rape of a child and other crimes will be sentenced today in Indiana County Court.
This marks the fourth attempt for a sentencing hearing for 48-year-old David Gene Crawford, Jr., who entered guilty pleas on November 13th of last year to three felony counts of rape, one count of statutory sexual assault, three different counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and other crimes connected with an investigation on July 3rd of 2020. State police filed the charges after an investigation involving the Troop A forensic services unit and other agencies.
A sentencing hearing is also scheduled for 37-year-old Mark Allen Juart of Indiana, who pleaded guilty to the indecent assault of a child under 13 years of age from January of 2022. And 70-year-old Keith Fisher of Graceton will face a sentencing hearing for indecent assault for an incident on January 1st of 2021.
