Black Lick and Blairsville fire fighters were called out twice yesterday for calls that turned out to be minor incidents.
The first of the two calls was at 9:23 AM for a vehicle fire near the Sheetz on Route 22 in Burrell Township. Indiana County 911 said that the state police were also called to the scene. Black Lick fire officials said that the fire was out by the time firefighters arrived and all units were sent back to their departments.
The second fire call was at 3:06 PM on North Spring Street in Blairsville Borough for a reported structure fire. Coral, Derry and New Alexandria fire departments were called out along with Blairsville and Black Lick. While details on the fire were not released, officials said that the Blairsville fire chief requested all the other responding units be cancelled.
