Monday was another quiet day for Indiana County first responders after an active weekend, but activity yesterday included the 28th brush fire call for Indiana County this year.
That brush fire was reported at 5:01 PM at a property along Pony Road in Young Township. Iselin-West Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at the time, according to Indiana County 911. Fire officials said on the department’s Facebook page that another fire was spotted about 400 yards away, and a quad was seen leaving the area.
Both fires are currently under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the fire warden at 724-388-4145.
The other two calls were an EMS assist at 12:22 PM for an EMS assist along Route 580, with Commodore and Cherry Tree fire departments dispatched at the time. And Indiana Fire Association members were called out to a location on Philadelphia Street in White Township for a call of utility lines down at 6:56 PM.
