Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi is alerting residents of a fake text making its rounds.
In a Facebook post, Manzi said residents are reporting texts stating that a warrant is out for their arrest. It appears as if it comes from the Indiana County Courthouse with the plaintiff listed as “STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA,” and the “charge” is failing to appear in court.
Arrest warrants will never be issued over text and anyone receiving this type of text is asked to report it to police immediately.
