Indiana County firefighters had quite a busy Saturday, answering eights calls for service.
Among the dispatches was a call for a structure fire at a farm along Adamson Road in Washington Township at 4:17 PM. Plumville, Creekside, Marion Center, and Elderton firefighters were summoned along with the county RIT Team. The fire was in a pole building but the homeowner had it out before the first fire trucks arrived.
Commodore firefighters were sent for lines down on Holly Road in Green Township.
Vintondale and Brush Valley responded to a vehicle accident along Route 403 in Buffington Township.
Bolivar firefighters were sent to an accident on Climax Road in West Wheatfield Township.
Elderton and Creekside were activated for a vehicle fire along Cribbs Road in Washington Township. The vehicle was off the road and firefighters had to also put out fire to some grass and small trees.
Indiana answered an automatic alarm along Pratt Drive at IUP, and Homer City and Aultman were dispatched for a possible uncontrolled burn along Ole Route 56 in Center Township.
