Sunday turned into a busy day for Indiana County’s first responders, with the bulk of the calls being vehicle accidents during the snowfall that came through the area.
Nine vehicle accidents were reported by Indiana County 911 on Sunday. The first was on North 6th Street in White Township at 3:18 AM. After that, three more vehicle accidents were reported in White Township, while two were in East Wheatfield township, and one each in Montgomery and Cherryhill Townships. Reports on the crashes have not been released by state police, who were on the scene for many of the crashes to investigate.
There was also a “possible” structure fire reported at a property on Cherry Tree Road in Montgomery Township at 5:12 AM. That brought out Cherry Tree, Commodore, Glen Campbell, Clymer and Hope fire departments along with Citizens’ Ambulance and the county Hazmat team.
