The District 6 Finals are set after Monday night’s action, and the Double-A championships will feature two Heritage Conference girls teams and a Heritage Conference boys team.
In the Double-A semifinal at Bishop McCort, Marion Center took on top seed once-beaten Bishop McCort, and it looked like a blowout early, before the stubborn Stingers struck back.

Marion Center coach Amy Trimble used a phrase her old IUP coach Tom McConnell often employed to describe Lydia Miller.
Trimble says it was a total team effort.
The Triple-A semifinal between River Valley and Westmont Hilltop was another razor-close game, with the Hilltoppers prevailing. Jake Slebodnick reports.
Forest Hills beat Central Cambria, 60-47 in the other Triple-A semifinal. River Valley will play Central Cambria Friday for playoff positioning in the state tournament.
The Double-A boys championship on Thursday night will feature the Heritage Conference’s Northern Cambria taking on top seed West Branch.
West Shamokin’s boys will play Claysburg-Kimmel Thursday to determine both teams’ state tournament Double-A playoff slot.
INDIANA
Playing a WPIAL 5A consolation round game last night, the Indiana girls fell to Trinity, 56-39. Bella Antonacci scored 15 to lead the Little Indians. Julia Antonacci had 9 points. Number 7 Indiana is still alive and has a shot to make it into the state tournament. They will play number 8 North Hills Thursday night for the seventh and final slot out of the WPIAL.
HOCKEY
Indiana High’s hockey bracket is set for the PIHL Penguins Cup playoffs. The Little Indians will play next Tuesday night at S&T Bank Arena against the winner of Thursday night’s play-in game between Blackhawk and North Catholic.
