As the snow started to fall Friday night, Indiana County’s first responders were busy with six incidents over the last 24 hours.
The first incident was reported at 8:07 PM as Cherryhill and Pine Township fire departments were dispatched to a location on Pine Flats Road for what was classified by Indiana County 911 as an “unknown-type fire.” Plumville fire department was called out for a report of utility lines down at 8:41 PM.
The first of two vehicle accidents was reported on Route 286 East in Glen Campbell Borough at 9:42 PM. Glen Campbell firefighters, state police and Citizens’ Ambulance service was dispatched to the scene. The second accident was on 286 West in Young Township, and that brought the Coal Run-McIntyre and Iselin-West Lebanon fire departments and stat epolice to the scene at 11:08 PM.
Perry Township fire department and state police were brought out for traffic control at 11:33 PM on Route 210 Highway.
And at 4:32 this morning, Clymer Fire Department was called out to assist EMTs at a location on Oak Road in Cherryhill Township.
A third accident was reported this morning at 5:43 AM. Indiana fire officials say that a car crossed the center line as it was heading North on 119 near the Route 286 overpass, then hit a guard rail and then went another 25 feet before stopping. The driver was sent to IRMC for evaluation.
