PIAA released the playoff brackets for District 6 Friday morning and several Heritage Conference teams will be in action next week.

Two games on Monday’s schedule feature the 8th-seeded Purchase Line girls battling top-seed Bishop Guilfoyle in 1A. In 2A, 10th-seeded Homer-Center and 7th-seeded United will clash Monday night for a chance to face 2nd-seeded Portage in the quarterfinal round.
Tuesday’s schedule has only one Heritage Conference team and that’s the 4th-seed Portage boys hosting 5th-seed Bishop Carroll. In the WPIAL, Indiana hosts Moon at 5th Street Gym.
Wednesday’s schedule has three 2A boys matchups. In one, 2nd-seed Northern Cambria hosts 7th-seed Homer-Center. The others feature 3rd-seed West Shamokin tangling with 6th-seed Marion Center and 5th-seed United traveling to 4th-seed Claysburg-Kimmel.
On Thursday, the girls’ 2A bracket features 5th-seed Marion Center travels to 4th-seed Southern Huntingdon and 3rd-seed Penns Manor welcomes 6th-seed Bellwood Antis. In 3A, 3rd-seed River Valley hosts 6th-seed Central Martinsburg.
Only one Heritage Conference team plays Friday night. The 5th-seed River Valley Panthers face 4th-seed Westmont in boys’ 3A action.
Should Indiana’s girls beat Moon on Tuesday, they will either play McKeesport or Hampton Friday night.
