Indiana Borough Police have filed charges against a Glen Campbell man in connection with a crash where a car went through a house in Indiana Borough.
Police have charged 42-year-old Eric Gilbert with DUI, reckless driving and careless driving for the crash last Saturday morning. First responders were called out to a home in the 100 block of Philadelphia Street at 2:26 AM and found a Chrysler Pacifica went off the road and crashed into and through the first floor of a home near the intersection of Philadelphia Street and East Avenue. A boy living in the home, and the driver, later identified as Gilbert, were taken from the scene by Citizens’ Ambulance Service. Police now say that Gilbert was under the influence of alcohol to the point where it was not safe for him to drive.
Charges were filed through District Judge Robert Bell Sr.’s office. Bail for him was set at $10,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 28th.
