Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash in Indiana Borough this morning.
Police chief Justin Schawl said that officers were called out at 2:26 AM to the 100 block of Philadelphia Street. A Chrysler Pacifica went off the roadway and crashed into and went through the first floor of a home near the intersection of Philadelphia Street and East Avenue. The house was occupied at the time, and a boy living in the house was taken to the hospital by Citizens’ Ambulance Service for treatment. The driver, identified only as a man in his early 40’s, was also taken from the scene by Citizens’ Ambulance for treatment.
Police were also assisted this morning by members of the Indiana Fire Association. The investigation into the crash is on-going.
