On the local scene, the IUP Mens and Women’s Basketball Teams will face Edinboro this afternoon at the KCAC.
On the Men’s side, the Crimson Hawks have won 9 of their last 11 games, and now carries a record of 10-5 and 7-2 in conference play, while the Fightin’ Scots have a record of 5-11 overall and 4-6 in conference play but are coming off a 75-69 win against Mercyhurst on Wednesday. Ethan Porterfield of the Hawks is six points shy of 1600 points in his collegiate career, and 10 points away from moving up to eighth on the all-time scoring list.
On the women’s side, IUP is 11-3 and 7-2 in the conference with the recent 79-62 win over UPJ on Wednesday. Edinboro’s women are 8-7 and 6-4 in the conference. The Hawks are a perfect 7-0 at home so far on the season.
