Students across PennDOT District 10 are taking part in the annual Paint-A-Plow contest, and this year, the public will be able to vote on their favorite.
Eleven plows were decorated by high school students in Indiana, Armstrong, Butler, Clarion and Jefferson Counties. The program is a statewide outreach aimed at promoting winter driving safety and foster appreciation for high school art programs and student creativity. The theme that was used this year is, “Seat belts is always in season”, to promote use of seat belts at all times in a car.
Three Indiana County school districts are taking part: United, Penns Manor and River Valley. Other schools taking part include:
- Armstrong: Leechburg Area School District
- Butler: Knoch School District, Butler County Area Vo-Tech School, and Moniteau School District
- Clarion: Redbank Valley School District, Union School District, and Keystone School District
- Jefferson: Jefferson County – DuBois Area Vo-Tech School (Jeff Tech)
