For the first day of the year for Indiana County’s Courts of Common Pleas, there are a few sentencing hearings on the schedule.
Three of those hearings are for 46-year-old Michael Scot Buterbaugh of Plumville. In two cases he pleaded guilty to a charge of stalking for an incident reported on September 19th of this year. The third case is related to incidents reported in March of last year. In that case, Buterbaugh pleaded guilty to criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
Also facing sentencing in multiple cases this morning is 51-year-old Ricky Lee Wright, Jr. of Glen Campbell. In one case from July of last year, he pleaded guilty to stalking and harassment. In another case from the month before, he pleaded guilty to charges of simple assault and strangulation.
Also due for a sentencing hearing is 21-year-old Jacob Wise of Reading. He is due today for a criminal mischief case where he allegedly smashed a hole in the glass exterior door to gain entry to the main door to an apartment complex in White Township in late October. He pleaded guilty to the charge of criminal mischief-damaging property.
