Two municipal governments will reorganize tonight.
Indiana Borough Council will hold their reorganization meeting at 6:30 to choose a new borough council president and vice president. After the reorganization, the regular council meeting will get underway, and on the regular meeting agenda will be the appointments to various positions. This marks the first meeting of the new configuration of Indiana Borough Council as they reduced the size of council from 12 to eight. The eight members represent a redistricted borough as it went down from four wards to two.
At the same time, Center Township’s supervisors will reorganize. Their regular meeting will follow, and during the meeting, the board will look to approve a new auditor for the township and approve a contract to haul a temporary bridge owned by Indiana County back to Jimmy Stewart Airport. That temporary bridge was in place for the Long Bridge Project.
