Swearing-in ceremonies were held earlier today for Indiana County’s row offices, commissioners and the new district judge.
New District Judge Tony Sottile took the oath of office during the ceremonies at the Indiana County Courthouse. Sottile has 32 years of experience in the law field, including time as the assistant district attorney and as a private attorney.
Sottile was grateful to the voters and those who helped him run for judge.
He talks about being able to carry on the work of his predecessor, Judge Guy Haberl.
Also sworn in today among others were incumbent district judge Christopher Welch, all three Indiana County Commissioners, Indiana County Sheriff Bob Fyock, District Attorney Robert Manzi, prothonotary Randy Degenkolb and Auditors Bonni Dunlap and Eric Miller.
