INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police have charged three people from Allegheny County with underage drinking and other crimes after an incident last Sunday night. Police pulled over a car driven by 18-year-old Cooper Thompson of Pittsburgh in the 500 block of Nixon Avenue for a summary traffic offense. Further investigation turned up several fake ID cards in the vehicle. Officers charged Thompson with underage drinking. One of the passengers, 18-year-old Saharra Schantz of Monroeville was charged with carrying a false ID. 19-year-old Ava Bofoli of Pittsburgh was charged with both underage drinking and carrying a false ID. All charges were filed through district judge Guy Haberl’s office.
Indiana Borough Police arrested a Northern Cambria Man for Public Drunkenness after an incident early Friday morning. Police say that they were called out at 12:10 AM to an apartment in the 200 block of South 10th Street in Indiana. The caller said that a person, later identified by police as 24-year-old Keenan Smith, trying to get into their apartment. He was found to be intoxicated to a point that he was a danger to himself and others. He was taken into custody, cited and released to a sober person.
STATE POLICE
State police arrested a Penn Run man in connection with a suspected domestic incident back in October. Troopers were called out on October 22nd to a home on Jacobs Lane in Cherryhill Township when a hang-up 911 call was traced to that location. Two men were involved in a domestic incident. One of them, described only as a 67-year-old man, was taken into custody and to the state police barracks for processing. He was then lodged in Indiana County Jail to await arraignment on charges of simple assault and harassment.
