Blairsville Police arrested a Missouri man on drug-related charges for an incident on November 17th. Police chief Lou Sacco said in a news release that shortly before 10:30 PM last Friday, officers were called out to Dean’s Diner for a report of an intoxicated person and when they got there, they found 46-year-old Bryce Leaver of Lees Summit, Missouri. They also found drug paraphernalia and 23 grams of meth in his vehicle. He was taken to Indiana County Jail after he was arraigned in front of District Judge Christopher Welch and remains there in lieu of $1000 bond.
Police in Blairsville arrested a Saltsburg woman Saturday night after it was discovered that she was wanted on a warrant. The arrest was made at 11:00 PM after police discovered that 47-year-old Clarissa Sphon was wanted for assault out of Westmoreland County. Police were investigating an un-related incident when they came upon her and ran her information. She was taken into custody and later released to the Westmoreland County Sheriffs Office.
