Indiana Regional Medical Center has had their accreditation for its PCI program renewed by a nationally-recognized cardiovascular services company.
Corazon, Inc. out of Pittsburgh has re-certified IRMC’s percutaneous coronary intervention program. This shows that IRMC has once again met or exceeded the standards from the company, along with national societal guidelines and requirements established by the PA Department of Health. Corazon works with 600 hospitals nationwide to evaluate, re-engineer or implement best practice PCI programs.
Through the accreditation, IRMC has demonstrated that they are committed to the highest quality level of care to their patients. In a statement, the hospital said that “Their dedication, hard work, and exceptional leadership have allowed this opportunity to engage their entire hospital team, enhancing their cardiac service line, and thus allowing them to excel through this accreditation.”
