Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and nose tackle Montravious Adams missed practice yesterday for the Steelers. Fitzpatrick is nursing a sore hamstring and Adams has an ankle injury. Linebacker Elandon Roberts was limited with a sore knee and defensive lineman Cam Heyward was limited as a precaution as he continues his recovery from groin surgery.
Along with Kwon Alexander, Roberts is one of the Steelers’ three inside linebackers whose number was reduced to two last week after a season-ending knee injury to Cole Holcomb.
Alexander says the loss of Holcomb is tough, but he’s ready to “just be legendary” as he and Roberts handle the inside.
Quarterback Kenny Pickett is anticipating the offensive coordinator Matt Canada will be on the sidelines again this week against Green Bay. Canada came down from his skybox last week for the first time and Pickett says it made a difference.
Pickett says the Green Bay defense is talented and challenging.
