Members of the Ukrainian Embassy will be in Indiana today to honor a local man who was killed in the war for Ukraine.
US Army Veteran Trent Davis was killed in the Ukraine in November of 2022. An army veteran of four years after graduating from Indiana High School, he went over to try to make a difference by helping to train civilians and soldiers. He returned home after that but returned in October of 2022. His mother, Janie Broadbent, said that Davis was shot and killed while trying to save several civilians.
Today, the Ukrainian Embassy will present Broadbent with the country’s medal of courage for his efforts. That ceremony is scheduled to take place at noon today at the 119 Professional Center.
