It was another bad night for the Penguins as they lost on home ice to the Dallas Stars, and they lost a young defenseman to a vicious hit. Paul Steigerwald recaps the Penguins’ third straight loss.
Coach Mike Sullivan says the Pens are a frustrated team right now.
Sullivan says the Pens’ talent-laden power play, 0-for-4 in the game, needs to simplify its approach and create traffic in front of the net.
The coach thought his team played a much better game than it did in a loss to the Blues on Saturday.
Sullivan had no update on defenseman Jon Ludvig’s condition after his frightening collision with the Stars’ Radek Faksa, which happened in Ludvig’s first NHL game.
The Pens’ four-game homestand continues tomorrow night against the Colorado Avalanche, which has started the season 6-0, with a 7-4 win over the Islanders last night in New York.
