On Monday, the Indiana School Board accepted four bids for the Eisenhower Elementary Addition and Renovation project.
The general contractor bid went to JC Orr and Sons for $14,480,120, the plumbing contract to K&K Plumbing for $1,140,772, the mechanical contract went to Renick Brothers Construction for $3,029,000 and the electrical contract went to GM McCrossin for $2,480,585.
The board approved the bids by a 7-2 vote with Terry Kerr and Cinda Brode voting against the measure. Board president Walter Schroth said he was thrilled to approve the bids and get the project underway.
In other business, the board hired Krista Templeton as the new operational principal for the Junior High, Eisenhower and Horace Mann schools at an annual salary of $100,000.
